Producing this piece was a lot of fun. Knowing nothing about cars I put myself in the shoes of a car enthusiast and tried to inject as much automotive action as possible. We started the piece with a drone shot and close ups of the correspondent and Welburn driving a 2016 Corvette he designed. There was an interview in an old 57 Cadillac. 

“I designed this high-speed research car that set world's records and designing the pace car for Indianapolis 500 and working on Cutlass Supreme's and all of this, you know. And -I was told I was doing great work, but he said, you know, but the company will never make a black person an executive. So you need to make a big decision. You either are going to stay at the level that you're at, or you should take a look at working somewhere else.”- Ed Welburn
