My roommate brought me a balloon for my 21st birthday. I turned 21 about three months ago. The balloon is still floating in my room as if yesterday was my birthday. I have personally never had a balloon last that long. Normally it deflates in a week. My roommate said there isn't any special helium in the ballon. You are probably wondering where I am going with this. To be honest I am too. I am going to make a jump here. I think my goals and aspirations are similar to the balloon floating in my room.  Often times I will get an idea and then it just kind of deflates. I'm just waiting on that idea that sticks and stays afloat. An example of someone who found that floating idea is Issa Rae. 

Rae is the writer and main character of HBO's "Insecure." Rae's claim to fame was not instant. She had been in the writing world for going on ten years now. In that time she has written a book, produced a successful youtube series, and produced a number of television shows. I am more than excited to hear her speak tonight in Jesse adutorium tonight.
